Moral Excellence

Westchester Country Day School’s character word for the month of March is FORGIVENESS -- deciding someone who wronged you does not have to pay. The character word is emphasized by the color mint and the animal gecko.

Students will be learning what it means to have FORGIVENESS during Community Meetings and classroom guidance lessons throughout the month. Parents can read the newsletter linked below or listen to the Core Essential Values podcast to learn more about how to support students in developing FORGIVENESS at home.

Westchester follows the Core Essential Values character education program, which helps teach students to treat others right, make smart decisions, and maximize their potential through a focus on a monthly character trait. This is a part of the school’s mission to support students in pursuing moral excellence.
