If you are a member of a "Fandom" and have experience or interest in attending a Comicon, then this is the camp for you! It is ideal for creative students who want to create Cosplay, seek to improve their costume/prop making skills for Halloween, or love to participate in theater. Campers will choose a character from their fandom, go through the design and construction process, and work towards a finished basic cosplay at the end of the two weeks. Then get ready for a professional cosplay photoshoot to document your amazing completed work! Campers will also create and share a "panel" describing unique aspects of their beloved fandom to the other campers, a crucial part of any comicon. This two-week camp session allows time for design, development, building and creativity on their cosplays. Specific camp modules include: building with EVA foam, (which can be used to make armor and accessories); basic cosplay sewing; proper painting techniques (for a variety of materials); basic makeup; and adhesives/velcro techniques. Note: This camp is a two-week session beginning on June 19.
