Welcome! We are pleased that you are interested in learning more about Westchester Country Day School.

We take an individualized approach to our admissions process just as we do in our classrooms. We urge each prospective family to make an informed decision about their child’s education. The steps in the admissions process are designed to provide the best opportunity for a student and his or her family to become familiar with the school and for the admissions committee to understand each student and determine whether Westchester’s program can meet his or her needs.

The journey begins by contacting our admissions team. We also invite you to discover Westchester first-hand during a campus visit and tour.

Following your visit, we invite you to begin an application for admission. 

Our Admissions Committee of administrators and faculty reviews applications throughout the calendar year. The first round of Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten acceptances are notified February/March and acceptances for all other grade levels are made on a rolling basis. In cases where there are more qualified candidates than spaces, we maintain a wait pool until spots become available.
