Westchester Country Day School will offer a summer driver's education class open to current students and teens from the local community.

The class is offered through Triad Driving School and will be held the week of June 5-9. Classes will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. The first three days (Monday-Wednesday) will be held on the Westchester campus (2045 N. Old Greensboro Road, High Point). Thursday and Friday will be online learning days and the students will meet with the instructor online from home. There will be a brief parent meeting on the first day at 8:30 a.m. to go over details and answer questions. Student attendance is mandatory each day of the class.

Students should turn 14 1/2 by June 5, 2023 (birth date should be on or before December 5, 2008) to participate. Later December or January birthdays may also be able to register if there is space.

Registration is $100 for the classroom portion of the course. The behind-the-wheel portion of the class will be scheduled individually by the class instructor at a later date based on birthdate and availability and is an additional $300 fee paid to the instructor.

Register here for current WCDS students. Registration is also open to the public at this link.
