Life at Westchester

Our school mission is the foundation for everything we do at Westchester. It calls us to pursue moral, academic, artistic and athletic excellence in our pursuit of knowledge as a lifelong joy, and it compels us to do so while nurturing and supporting one another as a community.

Westchester is a great place where you aren’t put in a box or on a particular track. We’re not an arts school or a sports school -- we believe a sound mind and sound body is balanced and well rounded.

On Tuesday, you may be leading the charge on the soccer field, then on Friday night, you’re taking the stage to sing the opening number in the school musical. You’re encouraged to explore new interests, try out and join in for the first time, even in your senior year. Our school is intentionally small, and that provides great opportunities to pursue your passion with bravery, knowing your classmates and teachers are there to cheer you on. Here, you can discover your hidden potential and watch it grow.

As loudly as our athletes are cheered on the court, our artists are applauded on the stage. As important as it is to have knowledge, it is even more essential to live a life of moral character and service.

Code of Conduct

In everything we do, we live by the following Code of Conduct:

  • Speak honestly and positively.
  • Respect everyone.
  • Behave responsibly.
  • Honor others' property.
  • Do your best.
  • Honor commitments.
  • Forgive easily.
  • Respect your mind and body.

This was my first play, and it has been a really fun and exciting process. I wish I had done this a lot sooner, but no matter what, I’ll never forget this experience. Thank you to everyone for supporting the actors on stage.
