Who Will Your Child Become?

Westchester Country Day School prepares students to become responsible citizens and leaders who pursue personal excellence with a passion for learning and a genuine interest in the world around them.

The Portrait of a Graduate is a clear and inspiring picture of how Westchester students grow into lifelong learners, engaged citizens and well-rounded leaders. We aspire for each of our graduates to possess these seven traits and to be shaped by them throughout life. When our graduates flourish in this way, they carry the best of Westchester with them, and that is when we know we've succeeded.

Westchester is an independent school that teaches and guides students in grades PK-12 and prepares them for college, career and community impact. The way students learn at Westchester stays with them forever.

Understanding the end result helps put things in perspective. Students are learning algebra, studying rock formations, practicing spelling words or reading to reach an AR goal — but they're also becoming curious, resilient, flexible, articulate, empathetic, globally aware and prepared for what can be.
