Mandarin Teacher

Westchester Country Day School, a PK-12 college preparatory school located in High Point, NC, is seeking a Mandarin teacher for the 2020-2021 academic year. The position includes teaching in the Lower and Upper school divisions as well as advisory and elective responsibilities. Previous Mandarin teaching experience is preferred. Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and a willingness to contribute to school activities. Coaching opportunities available. Chemistry Teacher

Westchester Country Day School seeks a Chemistry Teacher for the 2020-21 academic year.

Responsibilities

  1. Teach multiple sections of Chemistry for tenth grade and eleventh grade students (enrollment is typically between 8 and 16 students per section).
  2. Teach one section of AP Chemistry for eleventh and twelfth grade students. (Training will be provided if the applicant does not have prior experience with the AP curriculum.)
  3. Serve as advisor to 10-12 Upper School students.
  4. Supervise a study hall period, while using the time for course preparation as needed.
  5. Serve as an advisor to extracurricular clubs or as an athletics coach.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  2. Classroom experience and experience mentoring students preferred.

Westchester Country Day School seeks a high school Spanish teacher for the 2020-21 academic year.

Part-Time Lower School Academic Support Teacher

Westchester Country Day School, a PreK-12 college preparatory school located in High Point, NC, seeks a part-time Academic Support Teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. This school seeks to educate each child toward moral, academic, artistic, and athletic excellence in a nurturing, family environment where students, teachers, and parents support one another.
