Who We Are

Westchester Country Day School is an independent, nonsectarian school preparing students in grades PK-12 for college, career and community impact. Located on a 53-acre campus just outside the city of High Point in Davidson County, North Carolina, we offer exceptional learning experiences to students with diverse talents and interests from across the Piedmont Triad and Carolina Core region.

We Believe in What Can Be

Learning together — about each other, the world and what’s possible.

This is Westchester, an exciting place of learning, discovery, caring and personal excellence. Here, each student, pre-K to senior, receives an outstanding foundation where every student thrives under the thoughtful mentorship of faculty and staff. As an independent school community, we have the freedom and flexibility to offer a challenging academic curriculum while supporting the personal growth of each child, every day.

We don't just learn, we love to learn. We're deep-thinkers and risk takers who work together for the love of learning. At the same time, we are athletes, musicians, mentors and volunteers who try new things and discover our passions. Whatever our students choose, we cheer each other on.

Westchester is a joyful and nurturing place, and it just feels good to be here. Don't get us wrong — we take the learning experience very seriously and challenge one another all the time. But the support and camaraderie that runs through campus makes us uniquely Westchester. That’s who we’ve been since our founding more than 50 years ago, all the while pushing each other to expand our view of what students need to flourish — because at Westchester, we thrive on a spirit of continuous improvement and pursuit of excellence.

No matter how we innovate and grow, we’re true to who we are at the core: always caring, closely bonded, world-class and well-rounded — striving to be our best academically, athletically, artistically, and morally. The way we learn at Westchester will stay with us forever.
