The college application process at Westchester is best characterized by its individualized approach, an approach that begins well before the senior year as the college guidance counselor meets with students at each Upper School grade level to counsel them through the process. The college placement office serves as a clearinghouse for all application materials, and every item in the students' application packets is carefully proofed and packaged. Westchester teachers write perceptive, insightful recommendations that promote each student's strengths and potential and reflect a well-developed relationship between the student and the writer.
Parents and students alike are not alone in the college process at Westchester. Our program provides a stable infrastructure at all grade levels to insure that the college search is a successful one. From its college preparatory curriculum to its dedicated and conscientious faculty, Westchester provides the guidance and structure necessary for its families to address the college application experience with confidence.
