Assistance

Westchester is able to offer assistance to qualified students with demonstrated financial need. The School Scholarship Service (SSS) is used to assess financial need. The maximum amount of tuition assistance offered is 75% of tuition. The tuition assistance process is separate from the admission process. Families interested in receiving tuition assistance must take the following steps:

  • Complete and mail a Parents’ Financial Statement to the SSS of Princeton, New Jersey. The SSS does not determine the tuition assistance awarded, but it does provide the school with a recommended dollar amount. Forms are available from the Admission Office or on-line at www.nais.org/financialaid/sss
  • Parents are required to submit a copy of their 2007 tax return (1040). This is turned in to the Headmaster’s Office and is not sent to SSS.

Once the above materials are received, a decision will be made in a timely manner. Westchester Country Day normally offers its tuition assistance in March. Requests received at a later date may result in extremely limited or no funds available.

Westchester Country Day admits students of any race, color, religion, or national and ethnic origin. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, or national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, tuition assistance program, athletic and other school-administered activities.
