Community Service
It is Westchester Country Day’s belief that, along with a solid academic foundation for college, the opportunity to play on an interscholastic athletic team, and the chance to perform on stage, we need to give our students a clear understanding of their obligations to our school community and the community at large. To that end, we offer a wide range of community service opportunities for all students. Community service begins as early as 5th grade and continues throughout middle school with a month long project of the student’s choice. The culmination of a student’s commitment comes in May of the senior year, when each graduating student plans, executes and reports on a weeklong project.
