Transportation

Westchester Country Day provides convenient and safe transportation to and from the campus. The school maintains a fleet of ten regulation school buses, with routes available, based upon demand, to students in all grade levels.

Lower School children who use our transportation system are escorted to their bus by their teacher(s) each afternoon, and our drivers do not permit students to leave the bus if a parent or guardian is not at the bus stop at the end of the day. If a parent or guardian is not present to pick up a student, the child is returned to the campus and placed in after school care until a parent arrives to pick them up.

All of our school bus drivers hold commercial driver’s licenses (CDL’s).

Our pricing is flexible in as much as parents may elect to have their child ride the bus in the morning or afternoon only. If that option is chosen, the annual costs listed above are halved.

Extended Day

Westchester offers before-school care beginning at 7:00 a.m. and after-school care until 6:00 p.m. every school day. There is a fee of $5.50 per hour for this service.
